Set at the base of a granite outcrop in the far south of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Boulders Camp is the most remote of the Wolwedans camps, around three hours from the others.
With mountains rising behind it, the camp looks out over wide gravel plains. Boulders has five spacious tented suites. Each opens up on three sides to catch the afternoon breeze, with a deck, a separate bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, a sala for siestas and a private or shared Wolwedans Chiller (a small plunge pool).
The main area consists of a dining and lounge tent, a breakfast deck, a library, a pool and an open fireplace. Sundowners are served on top of a nearby rock plateau.
Days are filled with guided scenic drives, walks along the ancient hunting grounds of the Bushmen, fat-tyre e-biking evenings spent under the stars of an International Dark Sky Reserve. Children aged seven and older are welcome. Boulders calls for a minimum stay of two nights, ideally combined with time at one of the other Wolwedans camps.
