Chobe River Camp
Camp Chobe is situated in the Eastern Caprivi, merely 4 km from the Ngoma border post between Botswana and Namibia, across the river from the world renowned Chobe nature reserve, home to one of the largest concentrations of elephant on the African continent.
Camp Chobe enjoys luxurious solitude on the banks of the Chobe river. It is a delightful camp carefully designed and located for privacy, combining the natural beauty of the breathtaking setting.
Main building: Gaze out over the flood plains from the elevated deck of the main building strategically situated on the edge or from the quiet comfort of the private lounge decks or the massive couches in the warm guest area. Tease and tantalise your taste buds watching the chefs at work in our open, interactive kitchen or savour the wholesome flavours of meals served in the dining room, with its sweeping views, or in a warm cluster around a crackling blaze in the open fire pit.
Camp Chobe Tented Chalets: You’ll find twelve light and airy tented suites combining canvas and the indigenous mopanie timber. All the tents have sweeping views across the channels looking out onto the spectacular Chobe scenery.
All Eco En-suite: Each tent has a romantic deck, indoor en-suite bathroom and refreshing shower offering views onto the river. Lull your senses with the quiet serenity of nearby waters as you recline in your deck chair or get a different perspective on life, watching the waters of the Chobe from the cooling comfort of your deck. While night time noises filter through the canvas walls at night. As we are only visitors in nature we keep our footprint minimal with our All Eco approach, using SOLAR power for lights and hot water.
Camp Chobe camp area: Live out the adventure of a lifetime as close to nature as you can get in the relaxing solitude of the African wilderness by choosing to camp in our carefully positioned camping area on the water edge. The huge trees in the camp site create shady spaces to relax in the heat of the day or share a drink with friends in the evening hours. Draw your chair closer to the fire as talk and laughter merge into the starry night, swapping stories meant to last a lifetime. While at night the noise of the wild filter through the canvas.
