The Naukluft Camp is located in the Naukluft section of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, which was originally created to serve as a sanctuary for Hartmann’s mountain zebras, which are endemic to Namibia. Naukluft’s steep cliffs attract various cliff-breeding bird species, including Black eagles, and a variety of wildlife.
This section of the park is also home to five different vegetation communities. With its massive and varied rock formations, Naukluft is also a geologist’s paradise. The site offers 21 campsites with basic amenities plus six en-suite rooms, a restaurant and a bar and natural rock pools.
Attractions include the Olive Trail 10 km, 4 hours hiking; Waterkluft Trail 17 km, 6-7 hours hiking (Payment and Reservation only at Naukluft) and the 4 or 8 Days Naukluft hiking trail.
